With the passage of HB1016 by the Indiana Legislature in 2006, Indiana wineries are now limited in the ways in which we can sell and deliver our wines. We at New Day Meadery are developing methods for getting our mead to you in a convenient and responsible fashion. Below are the ways in which you may obtain our mead:
Open Tasting Room Hours and Private Group Appointments
The most typical way in which people sample and purchase local wines is through a visit to that winery's tasting room during our Tasting Room Hours:
Winter Hours: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 pm
Summer Hours: Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 to 6 pm
Holiday Hours: Friday after Thanksgiving through Saturday, December 29th (closed on Christmas Day), Daily from 11 am to 6 pm
Tastings are $5 per person for a complete flight (an offering of all our varieties).
We also schedule Private Group Appointments for up to 15 people during non-public hours. Along with our number of cases made, our tasting room is small but mighty and will only seat up to 15 people in relative comfort. Tastings are $5 per person, and an event fee is also applied. Please call us for details if you would like to schedule a private group tasting.
To schedule your private group appointment, please call us (765-552-3433) or send us an email at contact@newdaymeadery.com.
Shipping
For most wineries, there are many customers who love their wine but don't live in close proximity to the winery. Therefore, many prefer to place their orders by phone or on-line and have them shipped directly to them. Here is how you can have New Day Meadery mead shipped directly to you:
In-State
As of Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 you may now have Indiana-made wines shipped to you without having first visited the winery! This is a big win for Indiana Consumers, and we’re simply thrilled!
To have our mead shipped to you, you must complete the New Day Meadery order form for in-state orders, Age Verification Form, and provide us with a copy of your Indiana driver’s license or state issued ID. Click here to be taken to our mead ordering page.
Out-of-State
The fickle winds of change are a-blowin’ in the realm of wine shipping between states. We ship to some states, but that lists seems to change quite often depending on the direction of those winds. We will soon have the states we ship to listed on-line, but in the meantime give us a call or drop us an email with your out-of-state shipping questions and we’ll do the very best we can to get our mead to you.
Festivals/Off-Site Events
Indiana law allows us to have up to 30 festival/off-site event days, and we will be taking full advantage of this. Check out our calendar to see when and where we will be during the year. Also, if you would like us to participate in an event please contact us.
