Food Pairings

Dry Mead
Lightly seasoned dishes, like quiche or an offering of fruit and mild cheeses. Lovely aperitif.

Dry Peach Honey Wine
Fish and chicken dishes, along with pasta Alfredo or mixed green salads. For a pleasing afternoon cocktail, enjoy with a small bowl of salted cashews.

Dry Blueberry Honey Wine
Salmon, pork and lamb. This is a very flexible food pairing wine.

Dry Red Raspberry Honey Wine
Duck, turkey (perfect for Thanksgiving Dinner!), pork, lamb and sharp cheeses.  For desserts, go with bitter dark chocolate drizzled over freshy baked meringues.

Semi-Dry Mead
Spicy cuisine, such as Thai or Indian, as well as rich meals such as baked ham with scalloped potatoes. Baked fruit desserts and cheesecake, or on its own as a delightful after dinner drink.

Semi-Sweet Plum Honey Wine
Asian inspired faire, such as sashimi or Vietnamese lettuce wraps, or fresh goat cheese with figs. For dessert, serve with spice cake or gingerbread to compliment the subtle cinnamon notes in this wine.

Semi-Sweet Black Raspberry Honey Wine
Excellent digestif, reminiscent of port, also compliments everything dark chocolate.

Dry Hard Cider
Anything from burgers and brats on the grill to a prosciutto and melon plate. Also great with seafood gumbo. Enjoy on the golf course as an alternative to your favorite malted beverage!

Serving Temperature Suggestions

Between 62° and 65° F, as you would a red wine. Chilling our mead too much will work to close off the delicate bouquet and mute much of the taste, robbing you of the full range of sensations that you would otherwise enjoy.
